This is just not for any selfish or political considerations…and for those who consider every supporter of the governor as a Social Media data-boy or data-man, please consider me one😆. But the truth must be told.

The 29th of May, 2026 marked his 3 Years of Tomorrow-is-Here. Believe me, Enugu is Rising! 🌟
So first, let me join Ndi Enugu to commend His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, Governor of Enugu State, for 3 years of transformative, innovative, and visionary leadership.
From “Tomorrow is Here” as a slogan to “Tomorrow is Here” as a reality, the past 3 years have been nothing short of a development revolution across Enugu State. I wholly believe in his ability to lead Enugu State in the right direction.
Under his leadership, we have witnessed unprecedented growth in Infrastructure & Urban Renewal. With over 1,000km of roads constructed, rehabilitated, or ongoing across urban, rural, and intercity routes. Key corridors like Owo–Ubahu–Neke–Ikem Dual Carriageway, Annunciation-Emene Road, Okpara Avenue, and Abakpa Junction now link farms, markets, and industries.
In the transport sector, we have today, 5 Ultra-modern transport terminals delivered: Holy Ghost Terminal 1 & 2 with skybridge, Gariki, Abakpa, and Nsukka terminals. Transport system modernization into 200 CNG-powered buses, 2,000 updated taxis(yet to be deployed into full operations), and standardized bus shelters with digital timetables.
On mass housing, today we have New Enugu City master-planned as a modern, investment-driven satellite city. And other mass housing projects scattered around Enugu under the State Ministry of Housing.
His Excellency has also gone ahead with the revival of moribund assets: the International Conference Centre completed, Hotel Presidential completed, and Nike Lake Resort undergoing renovation to 5-star standards.
He didn’t stop there. To boost tourism and business in Enugu, Gov Peter Mbah has veered into Airport expansion: Akanu Ibiam International Airport operations expanding, Enugu Air fleet is growing rapidly, and is expected to reach 20 aircraft.
Water: End of 2-Decade Scarcity
Gov Peter Mbah has restored pipe-borne water to Enugu metropolis within 180 days as promised. This is not to say that the water has now reached all the nooks and crannies of Enugu State, but at least many parts of the State including GRA where I stay get steady water. The other parts yet to get water are not because of a lack of availability of water but because of damaged or blocked pipes over the years. This is now being traced for fixing and soon the water will reach everyone. To achieve this availability of water, His Excellency revived the 9th Mile & Oji River water schemes, boosting production from ∼2m litres/day to 120m litres/day. You can go and verify these figures.
On Education, Gov Peter Mbah is – “Forging Future in Classrooms” as 33% of the 2025 budget went to education – the highest in Nigeria, beating UNESCO’s 15-20% benchmark. 260 Smart Green Schools across all 260 wards: with digital whiteboards, robotics, AI, mechatronics labs, solar power, and experiential learning. 30 completed and commissioned. And many others are nearing full completion. Free daily meals for 300,000 pupils from Sept 2025 and ongoing. To empower and develop the human capital of our youths, His Excellency started Vocational & skills centres training youths in digital literacy, creative handiwork, and enterprise development. No these smart school is something that both fans and critics will appreciate the usefulness of these small schools in the next few years when the children attending the schools begin to manifest. Whether we like it or not, poverty and illiteracy, or lack of quality education are precursors to insecurity and violent crimes. The smart school will empower all Enugub children, reduce poverty, and wipe out insecurity.
He has ensured Healthcare for All by embarking on the construction and furnishing of the 260 Type-2 Primary Healthcare Centres under construction/commissioned across every ward, solar-powered with staff quarters, clean water. 60 completed and many others nearing completion. Here comes the game-changer in healthcare; a 300-bed Enugu International Hospital and proposed Oncology Centre with PET-CT & Cyclotron to end medical tourism. 2,500 health workers have been recruited, 100% CONHESS for medical personnel, a 24-hour ambulance system, with digitized records.
On Security & Smart City
We have today a State-of-the-art Command & Control Centre + 150 AI-enabled patrol vehicles with facial/licence-plate recognition.
Smart Security Grid: thousands of CCTV feeds, AI monitoring, body cameras. Violent crime decline reported; citizens can travel, trade, and sleep in peace. This is not to say that we no longer have pockets of security challenges. We do, as many other societies in the world still do, but violent crimes have reduced drastically because the Governor has made huge investments in Security that every criminal act or violence is pursued and resolved. Criminals no longer hold sway.
Enugu economy, investment & innovation has grown tremendously with His Excellency ensuring our GDP growth target rises from $4.4bn → $30bn in 8 years through industrialization, export agriculture, tech, tourism, and other things. Hence Enugu State IGR has revolutionized from ₦37bn in 2022 to ₦406.7bn in 2025 without any new taxes, but through automation, expanded tax net, and asset optimization.
The State Government under H.E. Peter Mbah also ensured that N300bn+ investment commitments were secured in 3 months: truck assembly plant, Sunrise Flour Mills revived, tractor assembly plant etc.
On the Agricultural revolution: today in Enugu we have 260 Smart Farm Estates, a tractor assembly plant for 1,000+ tractors, and 67,000 farmers geo-coded digitally. N82.3bn for agro-industrialization.
Governance & Digital Reforms
ENGIS: 80% of land titles digitized, approval time cut from months to days.
We have a new digital court building for efficiency and ease of doing business. Data-driven, result-oriented leadership redefining governance benchmarks.
The Governor also embarked on Tourism & Culture
Development at Awhum Waterfalls, Nsude Pyramids 600m canopy walkway, Ngwo Pine Forest zipline – which will be the first commercial zipline in Nigeria.
UNICEF has described its huge investment in education, health, and infrastructure as a “turning point for Enugu”. President Tinubu himself inaugurated many of these projects and praised the strides.
Governor Mbah isn’t just building projects; he’s “rebuilding the operating system of this state” layer by layer – economically, culturally, and institutionally.
Enugu is no longer just a state capital struggling with deficits. It is emerging as a regional economic powerhouse with global ambitions.
I stand proudly with this administration. Enugu’s best days are not ahead – they are here, and they are building roads, powering hospitals, flowing through taps, and echoing in classrooms.
There are many more to state, but as I have said before, Peter Mbah means well for Enugu State. That is why I enjoin everyone who wants the best for Enugu State to support Gov. Peter Mbah for a second term in office. We must not return to Egypt. We must continue to move until we get to the Promised Land.
