Fighting for justice and the statement that Aninri Shall be Great Again – A call for Rational thinking

Members of the group that felt that Aninri is not great and that Aninri have been marginalized by one individual or that Aninri is without infrastructure and industries believed that Aninri shall be great again when they completely grabbed the leadership of Aninri and determine who gets what at any point in time. This they believe is achievable when they retire that one man Senator Ike Ekweremadu and all his supporters.
This believe didn’t take into consideration of that fact that, when you kill a warrior, a time will come when you will need him. To this people, they are ready to sacrifice any powerful position that should come to Aninri as long as this man is retired. They have also failed to reason that it maybe impossible for an Aninri Son to become a House of Representatives Member, a Senator or Governor once this man is retired through their efforts which is backed by bogus impossible promises by their pay masters outside Enugu West zone. They don’t want to reason that other Senators who have the opportunity of doing many terms where never retired by their own local government people. They believed in their little minds that as long as that man didn’t abandoned Senate position in Aninri to give way to his Late Younger brother to go to house of representatives or at least allow his younger brother to become a house of representatives member while he is at the same time in the Senate even though they are from the same parents, he must be retired no matter what Aninri, Greater Awgu and Enugu West in General Stands to gain if he becomes the governor or what they have gained and will gain having a senator in 2019 than a rep member.
Although it have being the powers of the Executive Governor to decide who gets what up to 90% in Nigeria except where there is a strong stakeholder who influenced the governor to accommodate certain interests, these set of people thought that Senator Ekweremadu is a governor or even a President that should place all Aninri sons in top government positions like ministers, build industries and Universities etc. They failed to evaluate him from the performance of other Senators, even former Senate presidents from Eastern and other parts of Nigeria. Even though the present Governor did little or nothing in Aninri, they continue to worship and celebrate him with the believe that it will make the governor to retire Sen. Ike Ekweremadu by preventing him becoming the governor. They close their eyes to the fact that greater Awgu which is a cultural zone like Nsukka, Nkanu and Agbaja which have produce Governors have never produced even a deputy governor since the return of democracy in 1999.
Although Sen. Ike Ekweremadu have consistently given Bursary and Scholarship to thousands of Enugu West sons and daughters and even others within other zones in Enugu State, attracted uncommon Road Projects, Rural Electrification projects, health facilities, Education facilities and given uncountable Appointments to many while also helping many to gain federal and state jobs, they felt for the fact that he have been to the Senate for many years, he must be retired even if he can make Enugu State be like Dubai. To them, why they have not become senators was because Ikeoha is a senator and if he becomes Governor, they won’t become anything. Their thinking was never on the side of the gross marginalization of Enugu West in terms of state government presence. A visit to Nsukka and Agbani Nkanu will prove to you that these set of people against Ikeoha hates the people of Enugu West and wished them death.
In their strategy of taking over, they believe that the greatness of Aninri is when they inflicted injuries on their brothers and subdued everybody through threats and lawlessness. They have never sat down to think on the kind of greatness that Aninri shall become with bloodshed and enemty. To them, once everybody on the side of Ikeoha is destroyed or defeated, Aninri Shall be great. One wonders how they had solidly stood with the Late younger brother of the man they seek to retire, even though such elevation to another member of the Ikeoha family means a blessing concentrated in one family. To think of it, if their boss had become a Rep member and had the opportunity of going for 5 terms, this people would have been the ones to fight him and retire him. To put people in more confusion, the same set of people is supporting and praising a senator from Enugu North who stepped down for the Governor of Enugu State to replace him in the Senate in 2023. The Governor, who before he became a governor had being in the house of Representatives for 12years. When you added his 8years as governor, he will be 20 years in Lucrative government position excluding other positions he have handled before going to House of Representatives. By the time he may wish to retire from senate, he may be spending over 35years in politics. Their resolve makes one to understand that it was never about how long in politics or how well Ikeoha had performed over the years but hatred borne out of myopic reasoning and desperation.
Recall that these set of people believed that the former Local Government Chairman of Aninri – Chief Ezekiel Chukwu didn’t treat them well, but the fact remains that non of them were cut with matchet, neither were they retired or prevented from participating in any meeting, congress, convention or Primary Elections. They equally refused to acknowledge the fact that some of them handled certain position under Ezekiel chukwu and was in charge of some revenue generating sectors of the local Government area like motor Parks etc under Chief Ezekiel Chukwu. Even though Ikeoha had the power to decide everything at the time some of them became first time councillors, he nevertheless didn’t interfere nor stopped his brother from making some of them Local Government Chairman, supervisors etc at the local Government. They equally ignored the wise saying that says – To whom much is expected, much is given. As small as they are even seeing some former Local government Chairmen as Aids to Sen. Ikeoha, they chose to insult this great man of international repute like a nobody while also expecting him to take them as best brides. They continue to wage war and hold grudges against this God sent to Ndi Enugu to an extent that some of them expected Ikeoha to even come to their house to beg them.
God forbid, under this present administration in Aninri, I am seeing youths sharply divided amongst each other to a point that youths will no longer sit to drink together or even attend functions of fellow youth. This have never happened before in the history of Aninri.
Will Aninri Ever become great through violence and destroying their best/first 11?
