The man, Dr. Barr. Ifeanyi Nwoga is a legal practitioner cum historian and has been in the practice of Law for the past 30 years.

Ifeanyi Nwoga was born on the 15th of January 1961, in plateau state. He is a humble and gallant native of Agbani, in Nkanu West Local government, Enugu state. He is a devout Christian proudly and happily married. The family of over 25years is blessed with four noble children.
He obtained his bachelor’s of arts (Hons.) in History from 1981 – 1985 from the renowned University of Nigeria Nsukka. He proceeded to serve his father’s land by enrolling in the compulsory National Youth service in the year 1985 -1986. Nwoga again enrolled in the University of Ibandan to study Law from 1986 – 1989. He acquired his LLB (Hons.) in 1989, wherefrom, proceeded to the Nigerian Law school, Lagos where he also acquired the BL from 1989 – 1990. He was called to the biggest bar in West Africa in the year 1990. Because of his drive for excellence and hunger for education, he went back to the University of Lagos between 1992 – 1993, where he acquired His LL.M. (Masters Degree). He specializes in labor law, corporate law and criminal law. He obtained his PhD at the University of Abuja.
In 1993, Nwoga joined the Federal Ministry of Justice as a Senior State Counsel.He was elevated and posted to the Federal Ministry of Defense as an Assistant Legal Adviser.It was within 1999 – 2000 that he moved to Abuja during the democracy dispensation.
Nwoga Worked under the Federal Ministry of communication and also shared his wealth of knowledge in History as a Deputy Legal Adviser with the Federal Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Abuja.
While in devoted and active service at the Ministry, NAPTIP (National Agency for prohibition of trafficking in persons) was setup during the regime of the then Commander-in-chief of the Nigerian armed forces, Chief Olusegun Obasnajo.Undoubtedly, because of his zeal and dedication to service he was made the Head, Monitoring Centre of NAPTIP, whose job description was to monitor the operation of NAPTIP (2001 – 2004).Nwoga spent a few years in the Ministry, and left the Ministry upon his discovery that the Agency and its Chief operators failed to carry out the objectives for which the agency was set up. He acknowledged the languorous attitude exhibited by the Federal government towards fighting human trafficking.He left NAPTIP and was immediately recruited by the NCC (National communication commission) where he served as the Head Licensing documentation Registry (NCC), Abuja. (2004 – 2005).
Nwoga deployed back to Enugu, his home state and was satisfactorily found fit and proper by the then governor of the state to be appointed a Special adviser to the Governor of Enugu state on Legal Matters (2005 – 2006).He subsequently was appointed to the ordained office of the Attorney General of Enugu state (Jan –May 2007).During his stay in office, he served and discharged the duties attached to such privileged office with unadulterated degree of fairness, equity and selfless service. He held the position until the end of the then appointors Administration.His remarkable achievements during his tenure as the Attorney general of Enugu state, still refreshes the mind.
PRESENT EMPLOYMENT; Nwoga currently is in full time private Law Practice and also engaged in successful Estate Management within and outside Nigeria.He is a member of the Institute of chartered arbitrators and also a full and active member of the Nigerian Bar association.Nwoga is a renowned altruist with vast experience and knowledge garnered from haven toured the universe.He is a public motivational speaker and an elder’s statesman who believes that without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievement and success have no meaning.
He finds delight in soccer, playing table tennis, reading voraciously and impacting knowledge most especially to the youths.
HIS POLITICAL PHILOSOPHY; Nwoga’s basic motivational drives stems from his quest not to seek achievement for himself and forget about the progress and prosperity of his community.He believes that our ambitions must be broad enough to include the aspirations and needs of others, for their sakes and for our own. Nwoga’s Political philosophy is themed at SERVICE that can impact the common man.He is always saddled with How to ensure that the common wealth of the nation gets to the common man. The unearthed question of How to bring the concepts of honesty, integrity, sincerity of purpose into the government of Nigeria continues to be his mantra.His humble prayer for Gods directions and guidance is to be opportuned to be in the elevated field of service to the common man; as the Governor of Enugu state.
Nwoga is currently a member of All Progressives Congress, APC.He tried unsuccessfully to become the Governor of Enugu State in 2019 but lost in the party’s Primary election. As a former Attorney General of Enugu state, his political interest is how to ensure that the common wealth of the nation gets to the common man. The unearthed question of How to bring the concepts of honesty, integrity, sincerity of purpose into the government of Nigeria continues to be his mantra.
