The Visit of Nenwe Stakeholders witnessed large turnout of prominent people from Nenwe which includes, Reverend Father Innocent Chukwuka, Rtd. Air vice Marshall Chukwu, Rtd. DIG Nwobodo, HRH Igwe F.N Imo and his Traditional Prime Minister, All president General of Nenwe, all village Chairmen in Nenwe, notable professors and PhD holders from Newnwe, Business Mogul like Chief Cyril Kalu, Chief John Nwonye, Notable Women Group like Nwayi Bu Ife, Unique Ladies, Nenwe Youth Initiative etc.

The Nenwe delegation to the Enugu State Lion Building was led by the administrator Aninri west Development Centre (Nenwe) Hon. Israel Ani Esq, together with his team of Think tank which includes Hon. Ejike Okeke, Ifeanyi Mbude, Mazi Bismarck Orji and Nathaniel Chukwu. Speaking at the meeting Hon. Ani Israel Odinaka Esq. Praised the governor for his peaceful nature and introduced the coordinating President General of Nenwe who gave brief breakdown of the purpose of the visit and then call on Air Vice Marshall Chukwu who Read the communique raised by Aninri West Development Centre Think Tank and approved by Nenwe Stakeholder and Presented to the Governor.

On his Part The Aninri House of Assembly Member Praised the governor for his kind nature and his support to Nenwe People, he reminded the Governor that no community or people had visited him without him doing something and stated that he know the governor must do something for Nenwe people and that after this visit a lot will change in Nenwe.

Speaking, HRH Igwe F.N Imo Thanked the governor for all he had done for Nenwe people and Handed Hon. Okwu Chinedu (Otaka) to the Governor for a second term as House of Assembly Member Representing Aninri Constituency.

Communique Issued By Nenwe Stakeholders after a crucial meeting at Aninri West Development Centre Nenwe, Aninri Local Government Area, Enugu State on the 12th of March 2022. And presented to the Executive Governor of Enugu State – Rt. Hon. Dr. Lawrence Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (EZEUDO) (The White Lion), today the 12th of March, 2022 at the Enugu State Government House.

After a crucial meeting of Nenwe Stakeholders, which was devoid of political party connotation as it was completely community based, comprised of Royal Father in Nenwe, all the President General of the four communities in Nenwe, all village Chairmen in Nenwe and their executives, Nenwe academicians, Nenwe Business Moguls, Nenwe Artisans, Nenwe Civil Servants etc. The following resolutions were arrived at –

1. That Nenwe Town is happy with his Excellency the executive Governor of Enugu State, Rt. Hon. Dr. Lawrence Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (EZEUDO) and that we are completely loyal to you your excellency.
2. That we appreciate your response to security challenges in Nenwe town especially on herdsmen and other criminal attacks
3. That we sincerely appreciate you for appointing our sons and daughters into various positions in your government.
4. That we sincerely appreciate you for seeing that Nenwe produced her first House of Assembly member in the history of Nenwe town
5. That we are happy with your relationship with our House of Assembly representative Hon. Okwu Chinedu and all your appointees from Nenwe Town. And we hereby hand them over to you as your sons and daughters.
6. That we appreciate your interventions in education/Educational facilities in some schools in Nenwe Town.
7. That we appreciate your peaceful nature, kind heart and your firm believe in God as the leader of the state.
8. That we are witnesses to your numerous developmental projects across all parts of Enugu state, especially some forgotten rural communities.
9. That having accessed your Excellency’s approach to administration which is anchored on fear of God, love, humility and generosity, we hereby pass a vote of confidence on the Executive Governor of Enugu State Rt. Hon. Dr. Lawrence Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.

Consequently, Nenwe Stakeholders noted the following as issues that needed Your Excellency’s Urgent intervention –

1. There is no Police or military presence in the entire Nenwe and this has made it very accessible for criminals considering the location of the town along Enugu Porthacourt Expressway and Close Boarder with Ebonyi State. Our loving and caring governor please intervene
2. The Nenwe police Station, Nenwe customary Court, Nenwe Cottage Hospital and Aninri West Development Centre which are all within the same premises have no perimeter fence. Making it easy for criminals to access the facilities and vandalize government properties, especially fixtures and fittings at will. We humbly appeal that His Excellency do something about this urgently.
3. That we appeal to Your Excellency (EZEUDO) to help Nenwe in getting our people into the Enugu State Civil service as Nenwe has little number of civil servants in ministries in the State.
4. No Governor or Government of Enugu State since the creation of the State and even beyond, have ever tarred any length of road in any of the four Communities in Nenwe town. Hence our passionate appeal that Your Excellency as a matter of urgency should consider Nenwe and see if we can benefit even a kilometre of road in each of the four parts of Nenwe Viz; Uhueze, Amoji, Emudo and Agbada Nenwe Autonomous Communities.
5. No Nenwe man or woman since the history of the town have been appointed a state commissioner, this is like a curse his Excellency
6. The Awgu County Campus otherwise known as Boys High School Nenwe, the pride of the then old Awgu division, is completely dilapidated. His excellency, this school was like a polytechnic before, with beautiful structures, massive land mass and Street roads etc. Please for the sake of God, help us to revive the school as cost of private schools constitute huge expenditure on our poor rural households who no longer finds it pleasant for the kids to learn under very old and collapsed building without standard learning equipments, library and laboratory.

Although human needs are insatiable, these five (5) main requests are what we have for the governor as critical needs that have been great source of worry for the entire Nenwe people. Should the governor do facilitate these needs for us, we will remain grateful.

Responding, the governor assured Nenwe people that he will do something about the security situation in Nenwe. Speaking further, he said he is paying 60 people as community vigilante in Nenwe and urge the stakeholders to help by giving vital security information to government.

Continuing, the governor promised a donation of ten million #10,000 for the erection of perimeter fence at the Aninri West Development Centre Secretariat. He Equally promised to lias with Our house of Assembly member and the State Educational management to see how to revive Boys High School Nenwe. He also pledged to lias with the Local Government Chairman to ensure that Roads in Nenwe are motorable this Rainy season by grading and applying quality Laterite on the roads. He Equally said that the Bridge in Nenwe which was captured in 2022 Budget will be implemented.
