Based on broad daylight revelation of the need not to kill the baby APC which some committed Members of the APC Enugu Labored day and night to bring to its stage today to the archbishop of Enugu State Chief Dr. Ben Nwoye. The APC Concerned Stakeholders from the three zones of the Enugu State APC led by His Excellency Sullivan Iheanacho Chime, Chris Baywood Ibe, Chief Dr. Ben Nwoye, His Excellency Group Captain Joseph Orji (PhD), Her Excellency Chief Mrs. Juliet Ibekaku, His Excellency Prince Gilbert Chikwado Chukwunta, Mr. Osita Okechukwu, High Chief Vinmartin Ilo, Mr. AC Udeh, Hon. Timothy Amah amongst other numerous leaders of the APC met today the 13th of December, 2021 at the APC State Secretariat in GRA Enugu and united as one family to return APC Enugu State to the part of glory towards winning elections.
The leaders in their separate speeches acknowledged the various pre congress moves made by leaders in other to maintain peace and ensure equity during the congresses but only to be rubbed in the mud by just two men who feels that their personal interest is above the party interest. Speaking, one of the leaders told members that they should have wondered what gave a non party member who is yet to be duly registered by the party the courage to indicate interest to contest the state chairmanship. He noted that such action and boldness was due to pre arrangements to use the PDP man to achieve some sinister objectives that is unhealthy for the party.
Dr. Ben Nwoye and Chief Joe Mammel wondered why the minister of foreign affairs was the only person who refused to sign the document produced by the Enugu State APC Zoning committee that was presented and adopted by the APC. It is still a shock also as to why the minister will contemplate an Udi man, becoming the State Party Chairman even when Udi recently produced the South East Zonal Vice Chairman of the APC. He noted that because of Chief Emma Enukwu’s selfish interest in National party position, he aligned with the minister and Ken Nnamani and hijacked the congress committee led by Mr. Ijeomah Arodiogwu. He was shocked that out of desperation to pretend as if congress took place, The congress committee chairman announced Ugo Agballah winner of the congress. One man out of 27 man State Executives as required by law. His Excellency Group captain Orji Noted that this injustice must be followed up to logical conclusion. He was shocked that people who were honoured didn’t care about such honours even though by the grace of God, he had attained certain level in this country before them. Another speaker wondered why the zoning and micro zoning was only tampered with on the state Chairmanship, even when others position zoned to other senatorial zones where micro zoned and accepted.
In a television presentation by signature television, of which Dr. Ben Nwoye and Chief Joe Mammel were guests they noted that other violation of the constitution of the APC and rights of members of the Enugu State APC was the sudden change of venue of the congress and the decision of holding an election instead of adopting and ratifying the consensus candidate presented to the party.
Vinmartin Ilo who made a kind of lecture on why people joined politics noted that the 3 Cardinal objectives of joining politics have not being achieved by the Enugu State APC. This main reasons include, to win elections, form a government and empower ourselves. He encourage members to see the need for peace which is the only way to winning elections in the future. He urged members to rise up and make serious efforts towards ensuring that these people who through crisis have been benefiting from the party is stopped without further delay. He noted that the vision that was revealed to Chief Nwoye was also revealed to so many people. That was why the meeting was easier than speculated.
In His speech, Hon. Timothy Amah was worried on the level of manipulation being carried out by these enemies of Progressives. He said that time to call names and what each person did is yet to come. He encourage members to sustain this unity and said that victory is not far fetched.
At the End of the meeting, a communique with 16 resolutions was issued and read to the press. Prominent amongst the resolution was the resolve of the Stakeholders to reposition, revitalize and reinvigorate the party towards being viable. That Ugo Agballah is not a registered APC Member and should stop parading himself as APC Enugu State Chairman. That the zoning arrangements as agreed in Enugu State APC be maintained. That the Micro Zoning of the State Chairman to Aninri, Awgu and Oji-River Federal Constituency be maintained and that there was nothing like Enugu state APC congress.
